TMS2023 Symposium in Honor of Dr. Liu
At the 2023 TMS Annual Meeting, TMS held an honorary symposium to recognize the contributions of Dr. Liu. The symposium was designed to applaud the impact of Liu on the fields of computational materials science and materials design on the occasion of his 60th birthday, the 20th anniversary of Liu coining the term “Materials Genome”, and the progress of computational thermodynamics (CALPHAD) in the last 50 years as the foundation of materials design.
Dr. Liu was also named a TMS Fellow in 2022.

Our Generative deep learning as a tool for inverse design of high entropy refractory alloys (10.20517/jmi.2021.05) paper in the Journal of Materials Informatics received the Best 2022 Paper Award (3rd Place). Notably, in the last year, it was also the most downloaded paper in the journal.
