Zentropy Featured by ASM
In a recent news article titled โZentropy and the art of creating new ferroelectric materialsโ by ASM International, you can see how Zentropy applies to the materials discovery process and could change the world.
Congratulations to Alexander
Congratulations to Alexander on passing his Comprehensive Exams today!
Zentropy Featured by Penn State
Our Zentropy approach has recently been featured in Penn Stateโs news article where Dr. Liu discusses how we apply it to parameter-free prediction of ferroelectric to paraelectric transition temperature in PbTiO3 entirely from first-principle computations.
Technical details can be found in our resent publication on the topic 10.1016/j.scriptamat.2023.115480
Congratulations to Adam and Zhening
Congratulations to Adam and Zhening on passing their Comprehensive Exams today.
Adamโs talk was titled: Robust Materials Data Processing towards Materials Discovery Exemplified with High-Entropy Alloys
Zheningโs talk was titles: Design and characterization of functionally graded materials: SS304L to IN625 FGM and Fe- to Cu- alloy FGMs
TMS2023 Symposium in Honor of Dr. Liu
At the 2023 TMS Annual Meeting, TMS held an honorary symposium to recognize the contributions of Dr. Liu. The symposium was designed to applaud the impact of Liu on the fields of computational materials science and materials design on the occasion of his 60th birthday, the 20th anniversary of Liu coining the term โMaterials Genomeโ, and the progress of computational thermodynamics (CALPHAD) in the last 50 years as the foundation of materials design.
Dr. Liu was also named a TMS Fellow in 2022.
